I have graduated from ORU, and have returned from India now. It seems that after 5 years, I should no longer keep xanga updated. Few use it any more. So find me on facebook.
I have graduated!!! It has been many months since I have posted to this sight, and that is an accurate reflection of the amount of time I had available to spend on xanga. I am currently in India on an international development trip with other students from ORU. I wish I had been able to keep this site more updated, but for anyone here who hasn't looked at facebook, catch up on the latest with my facebook. http://www.facebook.com/home.php? I was blessed to have my parents come to my graduation. In know it was not an easy trip for them to make. God has taught me many things in my time at ORU. I look forward to what God has for me next!
I am now posting here for the first time since the end of spring 2008 semester. I have failed a course, but not in vain. I have traveled further east than ever before and stayed for two months. I learned things there I never would any where else. Much has happened since then and I am 2 semesters away from graduation! I have a mountain to climb before I get there, but when I have expended all that energy to climb that mountain, there is nearly level ground on top. It will not quite be a plateau, but will be a simpler grade to overcome. None of this can be done with my own efforts alone. I must be faithful and allow the Lord to strengthen me in every step and teach me each stretch of the climb. I have good friends to climb with me so I am not alone. The last 3 months have been extreme and now I am prepared to face what lies ahead.
The 2008 Springs semester ended a month ago and the good news is I didn't get any C's. I got an A, and four B's. The bad new is that I also got my first D. I was hoping I would never do that, but sometimes it's hard to prevent.
I have also been doing and finishing a 3 week summer course. A kind of course I will never do that way again because I have learned the hard way that I cannot do 14 weeks of work in 3 weeks. I am pretty sure 4 weeks is possible because I was behind one week's worth of work. If we can talk ORU into extending the length of summer school, it might be possible for me, but it doesn't matter now.
God has been speaking to me much through many circumstances involving the movie "Amazing Grace" and the inspiration of William Wilburforce. It is amazing what God will lead me to and how He will be glorified!
